"num num"

MM loves dipping her food in any sauce...
MM loves water "wa-we"...
So it's natural that MM would love dipping things in the toilet right!

I found MM dipping her binkie in the toilet, then back in her mouth exclaiming "num num." I was totally disgusted and took the binkie. She was so upset and could not figure out why this would be a "no no." Later that day she moved on to dipping her chips. You turn your head for 10 seconds and they find something "num num" to put in their mouth. Gotta find a lock for the toilet!

May Update

So here are a few pictures from May...

Makenna is now 7 months! Makenna loves her new slippers. However, I think she enjoys getting them off her feet into her mouth more than wearing them.

We went to St. George for Dad's softball tournament. We also celebrated Dad's 31st birthday there!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Makenna loves taking baths in my Mom's kitchen sink. She splashes everywhere and gets to play with the measuring spoons.

Do you think she ever gets tired of me taking her picture?

April Update

I can't believe I am just now posting April pictures! Hopefully, I will be posting the rest of summer before Christmas gets here :)

She still likes to eat anything she can get her hands on....plants, dirt, grass, even bugs!

Makenna is my little buddy who sits by me all day. She loved to sit on the counter and play with stuff in the Kitchen as I did dishes/ cooked. She would throw anything she could into the sink just so I would pick it up or bang on the window.

Gotta love teething :)

This is one of Dad's softball games (most Tuesdays and Wednesdays). This one was a little cold to attend.

Too cute!

Before she was attached to her blanket, Makenna would pull off a sock and cuddle with it until she fell asleep in the car.

Her bald spot is starting to go away!

My friend Laura and her son Jared came into town. Jared is just 6 weeks younger than Makenna.

Heather and her son Beckham also came into town to visit. He is 4 months older than Makenna. She was in the screaming stage and would make Beckham cry with her piercing screams during lunch.

March Update

It looks like I am way behind on my blogging! I have lots of excuses...Makenna and I were having too much fun, I needed my beauty sleep, too many doctor appointments, great books to read, playing outside and at the pool, watching Ty play softball, and I still have more! Here are a few great moments in March.

Happy Late Valentines

Can you tell that Makenna is our only child - all dressed up for each holiday that she doesn't understand or care about.

Makenna and I went out to lunch with my mom, all my sisters, and their little girls. Of course we were all dressed up for Valentines and Lindsey kept standing up on her highchair and pulling up her skirt to show the restaurant her cute heart bum!

After lunch, we had to go over to the mall and go shopping! While in Banana Republic, Lindsey and Kenzie just loved the manikins. They were calling all the male ones papa, holding their hands, and hugging them!

Last year's Valentines day was bittersweet as we spent the day with doctors. We found out we were going to have a baby!!! Tyler ended up in the ER after a strep virus attacked his lymph nodes in his legs. Let's just say we were both too sick to celebrate with a nice dinner, flowers, etc...

Eating My Toes

At this stage, everything Makenna can grab goes into her mouth. Her new thing is her toes. She will pull/ bite her sock off and then proceed to get as much of her foot in her mouth as possible. The other day, she even tried bitting her toes, cried, and then look at my mom like "that hurt, what did you just do to me?"

Disneyland with the Rappleye's

Yet another fun family trip and we were excited to visit the "happiest place on earth!" We had 3 day passes so the fun just never ended! Even with my family trip, we had 15 people and 3 strollers. At least we all had the same shirt on so we could spot each other! (Thanks Chris for designing them) Even strangers could point you in the direction of your family when you all look alike.

Fun Little Moments...
* Makenna's first ride was Dumbo. I don't know what she was thinking, but mom and dad had a great time trying to capture every moment on camera

* If you go to Disneyland during the week in January (off season), the longest line you will stand in is 20 minutes. Tyler definitely benefited from this!

* Disneyland does carry clothes for 3 month olds. Makenna decided to have a blowout and ruin her clothes, so Grandma just had to find her the cutest princess sweatsuit to keep her warm. I think she just wanted a new outfit!

* "Tower of Terror" was our favorite ride.

* Ammon and Tyson defeated Darth Maul and Vader after their Jedi training.

* Makenna was not bothered by "Pirates of the Caribbean," since she slept through the ride twice.

* We had lunch in the "Pirates" restaurant on the water for Dad's birthday. It was the best food in Disneyland.

* A turkey leg can definitely feed more than 1 person!

* Rain in California is more enjoyable than snow back home.

* Kenzie with dance to any music she hears.

* It helps to see Disney movies in order to understand the rides and attractions - Tyler needs to start watching our collection.

Sleeping In on Saturday

Ty and Makenna were found sleeping in on Saturday. It is sad when the mom is up long before the baby!

Cabo Trip With the Perrys

I thought I would start with the happenings of 2008. At least I only have a month to catch up on! We started this year with a fabulous trip to Cabo with the Perrys. It was quite the challenge to get 15 people around - including 3 babies in strollers. I can't believe that Makenna's first trip was out of the country and she had a passport at 3 weeks of age.

Great Little moments...
1. Seeing Makenna's cute cubby legs b/c she got to wear summer clothes all week (Thank you Kenzie for lending us you fabulous wardrobe!)

2. Makenna's first swim in a pool. She didn't cry or smile, she just sat there with a blank look on her face - probably thinking it was a little bigger than her bath tub. By the end of the week, she started to splash a little

3. Great family to vacation with. Days were spent at the pool, playing tennis, and of course card games into the late hours of the night!

4. Perfect weather. It only rains 5 days a year in Cabo. We experienced 7 perfect days around 70 - 80 degrees with a slight breeze

5. Great food. The best was Mi Casa -  a place in town that had fabulous seafood and authentic Mexican.

6. Great exercise. Everything was spread out and you had to go up and down hills. Makenna loved these stroller rides and I got to have a workout during the process. I think she really missed being outside once we came back to winter Utah :(

7. Deap sea fishing is great in Cabo. Just make sure your boat driver remembers to bring the bate.

The Blog World

Ok - so I finally decided to join all the other bloggers out there. Here are some of the "little moments" of the Perry family.
